Dress Code and Uniform Information

Year-Round Dress Code

• LHA white polo with black collar or white dress shirt
• Black dress pants (see Pants Policy)
• All-black shoes (including soles); no boots, high-tops, slippers, sandals, heels
• Solid-colored socks: black, white, grey, burgundy
• Solid black belt with normal buckle
• Burgundy LHA cardigan, V-neck sweater, or vest (optional, over LHA shirt)
• Undershirts: plain white, black, or grey with no visible logos/designs
• School tie (optional)

Warm-Weather Dress Code (Aug 29–Oct 31, Apr 1–Jun 23)

• Black skort (mid-thigh or longer)
• Black Bermuda-style dress shorts (mid-thigh or longer)
• Knee-high socks or hosiery allowed

Physical Education & Dance Dress Code

• Burgundy LHA t-shirt
• Black LHA sweatpants or shorts (mid-thigh or longer)
• Running shoes
• Dance teachers may allow substitutions
• Only LHA-branded items from Top Marks or compliant substitutions (no visible brands/logos)

Appropriate Pants Policy

• Fit: Like dress pants
• Length: Waist to ankles
• Waistband: Must be secure (button/zipper/belt)
• Condition: No rips/holes, not see-through
• Pockets: Allowed on hips/back only (no side cargo pockets)

Prohibited Pants

• Athletic wear: sweatpants, leggings, tights, etc.
• Denim: jeans, jeggings, etc.

Other Restrictions

• No hats, caps, bandanas (except religious)
• Only Sec. 5 students may wear grad sweatshirts (after March 1)
• No excessive makeup or jewelry; only conservative styles
• No visible tattoos or facial piercings except nose stud

Dress Down Days & Overnight Trips

• Clothing must be classroom-appropriate
• No inappropriate writing/images
• Shirts must have sleeves and cover the sides
• Shorts/skirts must be mid-thigh or longer
• No pajamas, slippers, or costumes unless allowed
• Closed-toe and heel shoes required

Trip dress codes may vary depending on weather/destination. Parents and students will be notified in advance.

Unacceptable Items at LaurenHill

• No personal bags (to be left in lockers)
• No scarves, sweatbands, hats, bandanas
• No excessive piercings or makeup
• No accessories depicting drugs, violence, racism, alcohol
• No studs, rivets, wallet chains, or long keychains
• NO leggings/yoga pants as uniform
